A Thank-You to our Community: The Battle isn’t Over

As the COVID-19 pandemic has unfolded over the last few weeks, time often feels like it’s slowed to a standstill. This time of year, we are typically seeing off seniors graduating from colleges and high schools, ready to start their new adventures. We naturally begin to start spending more time outside with friends and family after another harsh Midwest winter. This spring, however, we have gone through something that is unprecedented in our time. Events have been canceled, we resort to visiting with loved ones over the phone, and there is still so much uncertainty.

Today and throughout the month of May, Sanford Children’s Miracle Network will be lifting up the patients and families who receive care at Sanford Children’s Hospital. The normal life that we often have taken for granted prior to COVID-19, is something that many of our families already lost due to childhood illness. The adversities the families within our hospital have faced will last much longer than this pandemic and they need support now, more than ever.

Our team is continuously inspired by the outpouring of generosity from this community. To those who have already given, thank you is simply not enough. You are making an impact on the next generation of doctors, nurses, teachers, and the long list of other professions. And while we try our best to thank everyone individually, please know all you do for our kiddos does not go unnoticed.

We will continue to celebrate small victories and will to continue in improving the lives and care provided to our most vulnerable. We are also excited to share that we are launching apparel that will only be available during the month of May.
