Rally & Ride for a Cure

Kick off your summer at this celebration to support local kids fighting cancer

After a never-ending winter, it’s time to think about summer. One way to enjoy warmer weather is at the Bellator Titans Motorcycle Club’s annual Rally & Ride for a Cure May 18 to 19.

From kids to longtime bikers, everyone will find something to enjoy between the two days of activities. Best of all, the event’s proceeds support childhood cancer research and Camp Bring It On!, a very special camp for kids with cancer.

Here’s how you can get involved:

Ride for a Cure – May 18

The two-day celebration starts with a poker run on Saturday, May 18. Register  online now  or between 10 a.m. and noon at J&L Harley Davidson in Sioux Falls.

While you’re at J&L, buy your raffle tickets, enjoy breakfast served between 9 and 11 a.m., eat lunch between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and test ride a new motorcycle between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The poker run begins at noon and ends at Critters Lounge on Main Street in Crooks, S.D., with an after party.

After 5:30 p.m., everyone is welcome to join the fun. You could win great prizes in another raffle, 50/50 drawings and live auction. You can also browse a variety of vendor booths.

What this event is all about

In 2011, Bryon Farmer, president and co-founder of the Bellator Titans MC, wanted to change the public’s perception of motorcycle clubs and what it means to be in one. He imagined a brotherhood of fellow motorcycle enthusiasts focused on giving back while having fun.

Today, Rally & Ride for a Cure has grown into a two-day rally and a chance for the community to meet motorcyclists in person.

Best of all, the event’s proceeds support childhood cancer research, a special camp just for kids with cancer called Camp Bring It On! and other unique programs for these families through Cure Kids Cancer at Sanford Children’s.
