On the morning of the second day, we were issued a challenge…if at least $25,000 more than last year were raised, a donor (who wanted to remain anonymous) would add an additional $50,000.

The radio stations’ personalities spent the rest of the day explaining the challenge to their listeners as they aired the inspirational stories about the kids who get treated at Sanford Children’s Hospital – Sioux Falls every year.

Listeners and sponsors of the event, presented by Hot Stuff Pizza, responded.  The result…a record-breaking event and a final tally of over $300,000!

Thank you to everyone who contributed.  Funds raised will purchase life-saving medical equipment, provide vital health services and support programs for kids and infants at Sanford’s Castle of Care. Every dollar raised by the radiothon stays right here in Sioux Falls to benefit children in our community.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Radiothons are broadcasted on over 350 radio stations each year. Stations engage listeners with inspiring stories of Miracle Children from area communities and ask listeners to call in and pledge support for local kids.
